Bill McCarthy joined Bolton-St. Johns in the fall of 2002. His focus since joining the firm has been on legislation and economic development in bringing growth to the firm's clients. Legislation has included real property tax, state finance law, as well as numerous proposals effecting energy.
Bill has seven years experience with the New York State Legislature and 18 years in the private sector in the food service industry, where he served as Account Executive for two of his company's top food service lines. He was also responsible for introducing new products to the market in upstate and Western New York, and for developing training programs and marketing strategies for numerous New York State distributors.
Bill McCarthy's legislative background includes: Director of Government Relations for a private technology company; fiscal analyst for the Legislative Bill Drafting Commission; Assistant Index Clerk for the New York State Assembly; and Legislative Research Analyst for the Joint Legislative Task Force on Racing and Wagering.
Bill is a graduate of Siena College with a Bachelor's of Science in Finance. He has a Master's in Business Administration from the Lally School of Management and Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
