BRAGGING RIGHTS
Bolton-St. Johns is very proud of its two MAJOR victories in Tuesday’s elections :
  • Passage of Proposal 2: The Transportation Bond Act

  • Byron Brown’s election as Mayor of Buffalo.

Ed Draves from our office has bragging rights for each of these victories - his skill and hard work resulted in two successful and dynamic campaigns.

Some details:
  • The Transportation Bond Act: Ed Draves was the Campaign Manager and directed field operations for this proposition. The proposal called for $2.9 billion to be spent on transportation projects statewide. This is the first Transportation Bond Act to pass in New York State since 1988 and it passed by a substantial margin (55% to 45%)

  • Byron Brown: Bolton-St. Johns has been the General Consultant to Byron Brown ‘s campaign for Mayor of Buffalo for the last year and one-half. Mr. Brown won the four way race on Tuesday with a resounding victory. Brown, 47 and a Democrat state senator, is the first African-American to be elected to lead New York’s second largest city. He received 43,682 votes or 64% of the vote, turning aside the challenges of Kevin Helfer the Republican and Conservative candidate who had 27% of the vote; Judith Einach who had 5%; and Charles Flynn who garnered 4% of the vote. Mr. Brown will succeed three term mayor Anthony Masiello, who did not seek re-election.
