Campaign Update—11th Congressional District

The highly contested race in the 11th Congressional District is heating up with Bolton-St. Johns’ client Carl Andrews pulling ahead as “the front runner”, according to the NY Daily News. Carl has just received official endorsements from the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), the United Federation of Teachers and the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT). President of the UFT, Randi Weingarten called Carl Andrews "a tireless advocate for education, public schools, social justice and working people.” To date, Carl has raised just over $330,000 and looks to pick up a few major union endorsements in the weeks ahead. The growing list of distinguished NY elected officials and organizations that have already given their support to Andrews include: Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, NYS Senator Tom Duane, NYS Senator Carl Kruger, NYS Senator Martin Malave-Dilan, NYS Senator Diane Savino, NYS Senate Minority Leader David Paterson, NYS Senator Jeffrey Klein, NYS Senator George Onorato, NYS Senator Eric Schneiderman, NYS Senator Ada Smith, NYS Senator Malcolm Smith, NYS Senator Ruth Hassell-Thompson, Assembly Member Dov Hikind, Assembly Member Vivian Cook, Assembly Member Steven Cymbrowitz, Assembly Member Rhoda Jacobs, Assembly Member Joseph D. Morelle, Assembly Member Annette M. Robinson, Assembly Member Keith L.T Wright and NYC Council Member Albert Vann.

Senator Hannon Fundraiser

Bolton-St. Johns is hosting a PRIVATE fundraiser for Senator Kemp Hannon. Only clients of Bolton-St Johns are being invited. Mr. Hannon was first elected to the Senate in 1988 and serves as chair of the Senate Health Committee.
